The Environmental Services Specialist performs routine cleaning tasks in many areas of the Graham Health System ACS such as patient rooms, offices, public areas, and other ancillary areas. The Environmental Services Specialist reports directly to the Director of Surgical Services or designee.

Physical demands of this role include but are not limited to

Ability to lift/carry

Able to stand/walk 5 – 8 hours of the shift

Lift up to 50lbs, and occasionally over 50lbs

Repetitive hand movements-grasping, pushing/pulling, and fine manipulation required

Bend, carry and kneel, climb.

Experience/Skills

Good communication skills to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, patients and guests.

High School graduate or equivalent preferred

Previous housekeeping experience preferred in hospital/nursing home environment.
