Summary
We are seeking an Asset Data & Governance Analyst – Facilities Operations to support a highly visible, enterprise-wide refrigeration temperature monitoring and automation initiative being deployed across approximately 7,530 retail locations. This large-scale program is transforming a traditional manual temperature-checking and logging process through sensor technology, automated data collection, temperature alerts, and work-order automation.

The program is designed to improve visibility into refrigeration equipment performance, help identify equipment or temperature issues earlier, reduce product loss, support compliance requirements, strengthen preventive and corrective maintenance processes, and generate significant operational efficiencies and cost savings.

In this role, you will focus specifically on the accuracy, completeness, and governance of refrigeration asset data used to support the new monitoring program. As sensors are installed on existing refrigeration equipment, you will help validate that each asset is accurately represented, properly mapped to its corresponding sensor and location, and aligned with established asset hierarchy and data-quality standards.

The ideal candidate will bring approximately 2–3 years of relevant experience in asset data management, data quality, data governance, facilities data, master data, or related business operations. Experience working with CMMS, facilities management, work-order systems, equipment databases, or multi-location operational environments would be especially valuable.

What You Will Be Accountable For

  • Support asset data management activities associated with a large-scale refrigeration temperature monitoring and automation rollout across approximately 7,530 retail locations.
  • Review and validate existing refrigeration equipment and asset information to ensure data is accurate, complete, and usable.
  • Validate key asset attributes, including make, model, serial number, warranty information, store/location, equipment location, and other identifying information.
  • Identify missing, inaccurate, incomplete, duplicate, or inconsistent asset information and coordinate appropriate corrections.
  • Validate asset-to-sensor mappings to ensure each temperature-monitoring sensor is connected to the correct refrigeration asset.
  • Confirm that sensors, equipment, store locations, gateways, and related hierarchy information are accurately aligned.
  • Support established asset hierarchy, naming conventions, and data governance standards.
  • Perform ongoing data-quality reviews, validation, and reconciliation throughout the implementation.
  • Work closely with the full-time asset data management team to maintain consistent asset information across the program.
  • Review information collected and submitted by installation teams to ensure it meets established quality and governance standards.
  • Support the onboarding and validation of newly installed assets, sensors, and related equipment data.
  • Coordinate corrections when installer-provided or existing asset information does not match established records or standards.
  • Support accurate field data collection through tools such as LINK.
  • Help ensure data is correctly captured within the vendor temperature-monitoring platform.
  • Validate that accurate asset information is available to support downstream facilities and work-order processes.
  • Help maintain reliable data that can be used for future maintenance, equipment planning, warranty decisions, and operational reporting.
  • Identify recurring data-quality issues and support improvements to data collection and governance processes.
  • Collaborate with project managers, refrigeration engineers, facilities teams, installers, vendors, and other program stakeholders.
  • Support implementation timelines while maintaining a strong focus on data accuracy and overall quality.

What Qualifications You Need

  • Approximately 2–3 years of relevant experience in asset data management, data analysis, data quality, data governance, master data, facilities operations, or a related area.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience reviewing, validating, reconciling, or maintaining detailed business, equipment, or asset data.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify missing, inconsistent, inaccurate, or duplicate information.
  • Experience working with structured datasets and maintaining data accuracy across multiple records, locations, or systems.
  • Understanding of data-quality, data-governance, naming-convention, or master-data principles.
  • Ability to investigate data discrepancies and coordinate corrections with internal stakeholders, vendors, or field teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to determine the root cause of data issues.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage detailed information across a large-scale implementation.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across business, facilities, technical, and vendor teams.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating closely with a cross-functional project team.
  • Must be available to work primarily during 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST business hours, with some flexibility to start approximately one hour earlier or later.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to Deerfield, IL up to approximately three times during the nine-month engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with asset management, master data management, or equipment databases.
  • Experience with CMMS, facilities management, or work-order management systems.
  • Exposure to ServiceChannel or a comparable facilities/work-order management platform.
  • Experience with field data collection tools such as LINK or similar platforms.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data review, reconciliation, filtering, lookups, and data-quality validation.
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps (ADO) for project, issue, or implementation tracking is beneficial.
  • Experience supporting retail facilities, store operations, refrigeration, HVAC, or other equipment-intensive environments.
  • Experience working with multi-site or enterprise-scale asset data.
  • Exposure to IoT devices, sensor-based monitoring, or equipment-to-sensor mapping is beneficial but not required.
  • Experience collaborating with installers, vendors, field teams, or facilities professionals.
  • Familiarity with warranty, equipment lifecycle, or preventive maintenance information is beneficial.
