Utility Worker / Vault Specialist

Peoples Gas Light & Coke Co, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking Utility Worker / Vault Specialists in our Chicago IL locations. This position is represented by Local 18007 Union.Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for working with Vault Mechanic I on district regulator vault inspections which consists of pullingvault covers (approximately 40 per day on average), pumping water from vault, shoveling snow, clearing debris.
• Works with Vault Mechanic I on vault truck assisting in regulator inspections and maintenance.
• Testing security valves, making control lines, pipeline surveys, leak inspections and rechecks, inspecting and maintaining valves and shutdown activities including purging and gassing mains and operating network valves. Minimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma, HSED, or GED Required
• Employees may be required to report at the Company's discretion to any one of the 3 locations.
• Must have or obtain during 180 day probationary period a minimum Class C Commercial Driver's License and have a clear driving record.
• Successful completion of the Utility Worker Training Program and the Vault Specialist Supplemental Training Program.
