Occupational Therapist

We are looking for a talented Occupational Therapist for the school year.

This Occupational Therapist (OT) will be placed at one building with a caseload of 42-50 students. This OT will be responsible for creating and implementing Individualized Education Programs for students, collecting and analyzing data on student IEP goals, collaborating and communicating with various stakeholders, including student IEP teams and parents and completing fine motor and sensory profile evaluations and write reports as needed.

Hourly Rate Range : $46.00-$60.00 per hour

Responsibilities would include:

• Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students’ motor, sensory, and functional needs.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and therapy plans.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to support fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education teams to integrate therapy strategies into the learning environment.
• Recommend and implement adaptive equipment and classroom modifications to improve student accessibility.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) and IDEA guidelines.
• Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Provide training and consultation to teachers and staff on strategies to support student independence.

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Illinois OT Licensure (issued by the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation - IDFPR).
• Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Approval as a Related Service Provider (if required for school-based roles).
• NBCOT Certification preferred.
• Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required.
