Early Childhood SPED Educator | K–2 Self-Contained Classroom | Illinois

Clarifi Staffing Solutions is proud to partner with a supportive Illinois school district to hire a caring and skilled Special Education Teacher for a K–2 self-contained classroom serving students with autism and other developmental needs. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to help young learners build foundational academic, communication, and behavioral skills in a highly structured and nurturing setting.

As the classroom lead, you will deliver individualized instruction to a small group of students, using intentional and evidence-based practices that support developmental growth. You’ll design learning experiences aligned with each child’s IEP, promote independence through consistent routines, and cultivate a classroom environment where students feel seen, supported, and set up for success. Collaboration will be central to your work—you’ll partner with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families to ensure every student receives cohesive, high-quality support throughout their school day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with families and school teams to strengthen continuity of support.
  
• Write, implement, and maintain IEPs while accurately tracking student progress.
  
• Apply data-informed instructional strategies to shape learning plans and interventions.
  
• Provide differentiated instruction for up to 10 students in a structured, self-contained setting.
  
• Encourage positive behaviors, communication, and peer interaction through proactive strategies and predictable routines.
  

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
   
2. Experience working in a school setting and supporting mild to moderate learning needs is preferred.
   
3. Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) endorsement.
