Welder

Centralia Equipment & Machine Inc., an independent subsidiary of ACNR, Inc. (the largest independent U.S. coal producer), is seeking motivated individuals that can demonstrate their ability to work safely to produce quality and production, in that order.

Seeking motivated individuals to repair and fabricate mining equipment and machinery.

Pay Type: Hourly

Pay Range: $27.00-$30.00/hour

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Weekly visual inspections
• Performing routine and preventative maintenance to equipment
• Welding knowledge/skill
• Mechanically inclined
• Reads/interprets equipment manuals/work orders
• Conducts troubleshooting and problem solving
• Basic knowledge in reading of blueprints
• General fabrication and layout abilities
• Follows instructions under the leadership of the Crew Lead to ensure all aspects of the job are covered to avoid any time-consuming delays as well as hazard and/or task training that may be required before the task begins
• Ensures equipment is maintained in proper working order to avoid injury and work areas are kept clean/free of hazards which may endanger the health/safety of any employee
• Performs work according to instructions to ensure quality and satisfaction is achieved.
• Applicants must be experienced in welding/torching/cutting and have the ability to safely perform tasks

Experience

• One to three (1-3) years of welding experience
• CAD experience is preferred, but not required

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED, preferred
• Reliable transportation
• Regular and punctual attendance
• Effective communication is required
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements
• Promotes safety throughout the team
• Safety operates equipment needed to perform job tasks
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in different units of measurement (whole numbers, common fractions and decimals)
• Must be able to work safely and effectively as part of a team or independently
• Successfully complete industry approved training courses.
• Must be able to successfully pass a post offer drug test and background check
• Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship

Job Schedule and Physical Demands

• Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed or as schedule requires (subject to applicant’s religious practices)
• Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule as needed basis (subject to the applicant’s religious practices)
• Ability/willingness to work any shift assigned
• Ability to lift floor-to-waist and waist-to-overhead
• Ability to push/pull as needed
• Standing, bending, step climbing, crawling and working overhead
• Ability to perform heavy labor and lift 50+ pounds as needed
