Archives Clerk
We are seeking temporary support one of our leading clients in the non-profit space in their Archives Department to assist with a short-term project anticipated to last approximately one month. This role will focus on organizing, verifying, and documenting archival materials with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately entering and updating archival data into internal tracking systems, ensuring consistency and completeness across records
- Reviewing image files and conducting online research (including websites and social media platforms) to identify and verify the correct names, locations, and affiliations associated with the images
- Cross-referencing research findings with existing records to resolve discrepancies or missing information
- Listening to audio recordings and carefully proofreading corresponding written transcripts to ensure they accurately reflect the recorded content
- Making edits and corrections to transcripts while maintaining formatting and documentation standards
- Organizing digital files and materials to support archival accessibility and retrieval
- Following established archival guidelines and documentation processes to ensure data accuracy and compliance
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong data entry accuracy and organizational skills
- Ability to conduct independent internet research
- Excellent listening and proofreading skills
- Ability to work efficiently within defined project timelines
