The registered professional nurse is responsible for providing care, treatment, and education through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The registered professional nurse takes into account the staffing guidelines set forth by AWHONN, ages, disabilities, and stages of development in the performance of her/his responsibilities. Nursing care is provided in collaboration with the Medical Staff and in accordance with objectives and policies of Graham Hospital. The registered professional nurse functions independently and collaboratively with the other health team members. The registered professional nurse reports directly to the Director of Obstetrics.

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.

One year of medical/surgical experience preferred.

Current Illinois Licensure.

BLS certification through AHA required.

Must complete Neonatal Resuscitation Course within 4 months of hire.

Must complete Fetal Monitor Level 1 & 2 within first 12 months of hire.
