Site Supervisor

Description:
Reporting to the Program Supervisor, the Site Supervisor is responsible for site and/or program specific supervision at activities such as youth sports programs, adult sports programs, open gym, and adult general recreation programs.
Working Hours:
As scheduled by program.
Examples of Duties:
- Directly supervise all recreation activities within assigned program areas.
- Prepare program sites for activities (tables, chairs, nets, equipment, etc.)
- Effectively communicate with registered participants, program supervisor, co-workers, parents, spectators, and facility personnel. Relay information from program supervisors to participants and vice versa.
- Assist referees or other officials with game activities.
- Responsible for assisting in inventory of program equipment and supplies.
- Be prepared to cancel program if circumstances call for such action (Bad weather, gym unavailable, etc.) and contact Program Supervisor.
- Record pertinent information for recordkeeping and scorekeeping. Report any behavioral or disciplinary problems taking place at program site in writing and orally.
- Report any possible maintenance problems at program site in writing and orally.
- Be prepared to notify authorities (Police, Fire, etc.) when needed.
- Be prepared to administer CPR/First Aid as needed.
- Leave program site in better condition than how it was found.
- Utilize and empower participants to use non-violent, non-confrontational methods to cool disputes among fans, coaches, and participants.
- Make a reasonable effort to independently solve problems, referring problems beyond your comfort to the registration staff, Program Supervisors, or Director of Parks & Recreation.
- Completes other duties within the scope and purpose of this position.
Qualifications:
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of sports activities under his/her supervision.
- Must be First Aid/CPR/AED certified.
- Strong organizational and record keeping skills.
- The ability to communicate both written and orally with supervisors and the general public.
- The ability to work independently, efficiently, and attend to details.
Salary:
- $15.50 / per hour
