Loan Processor (Entry Level)

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Loan Processor to support the end-to-end processing of consumer loans. In this role, you will review applications, verify documentation, and ensure loans are completed accurately and efficiently in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy, quality, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and audit loan applications and supporting documents to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance
  • Process and fund loans once all conditions and stipulations are met
  • Generate and send loan contracts via DocuSign or shipping methods, ensuring all required signatures are obtained
  • Partner closely with loan officers and internal teams to gather required documentation and resolve outstanding items
  • Communicate effectively across departments to address issues and ensure timely loan processing
  • Manage a shared application queue, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and service level expectations
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the loan lifecycle
  • Assist with system testing, process improvements, and special projects as needed

Daily Workflow

  • Review and process incoming loan applications from a shared queue
  • Validate documentation and follow up on missing or incomplete items
  • Send contracts and complete funding once requirements are met
  • Communicate with internal teams and manage follow-ups

Performance Expectations

  • Meet turnaround time standards for processing and contract delivery (e.g., contracts sent within 45 minutes when applicable)
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy, quality, and productivity
  • Efficiently process loan tasks, often within tight timeframes
  • Manage workload effectively during high-volume periods

Loan Types Supported

  • Personal loans (lines of credit and installment loans)
  • Auto loans (purchases, refinances, lease buyouts)
  • Title-secured loans

Tools & Systems

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Loan Origination Systems (e.g., Temenos)
  • Core banking systems (e.g., Symitar)

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced, high-volume processing environment
  • Collaborative, team-based setting with virtual communication across departments
  • Team collectively processes 2,500–3,200 applications per month

Qualifications

Required:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Comfort working in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment
  • Basic computer proficiency

Preferred:

  • Experience in banking, financial services, or loan processing
  • Knowledge of consumer lending or loan documentation

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
