Electrical Engineer

Job Title: Electrical Engineer - Project Engineer (TPL)Job Description

The role involves developing systems to test new NPI components or field return ECMs, Displays, and Sensors. The support engineer is responsible for coordinating verification and validation activities on changes for previous and current production electrical systems. The incumbent will document test results and communicate them to teams or suppliers, as well as coordinate scheduling of test activities with internal and external test resources.

Responsibilities

• Develop systems for testing new NPI components.

• Work in a team environment to identify test cases.

• Test all aspects of the product including function, performance, and regression.

• Set up test environments, design test plans, and work with the team to develop test cases/scenarios/use cases.

• Execute test cases correctly and consistently.

• Work closely with the design team to develop and perform required test activities.

Essential Skills

• Electrical engineering expertise.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in computer or electronics engineering.

• 5-7 years of relevant experience.

• Experience with lab equipment such as Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, and Operational Amplifiers.

• Proficiency with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R) tool/process.

• Experience with Failure Mode Effect & Root Cause Analysis (FMEA) process.

• Good documentation and presentation skills using MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Related BS or MS projects or internships considered if durations are included.

• Related Associate's Degree considered with an additional two years' experience (seven years minimum).

• Knowledge and experience with connectivity/telematics technologies.

• Experience with Operating Systems: MS Windows 7, 8, 10, UNIX, Ubuntu.

• Experience with Canalyzer, ECM, ECU, Engine Control Module, Electronic Control Unit, LED, LCD, Sensor, Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscope, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, Amplifier, Function Generator, Harness, Tektronix, DSpace.

Work Environment

The work environment is on-site at a building equipped with air conditioning in Mossville, IL.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Chillicothe, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $43.00/hr.
