As an ASL Instructor, you'll play a key role in fostering a positive and dynamic learning atmosphere for students of all skill levels, helping them gain proficiency in ASL while deepening their understanding of the Deaf community.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver engaging ASL lessons for students with varying levels of proficiency.
Create curriculum that incorporates ASL and Deaf culture, ensuring a well-rounded learning experience.
Assess student progress and offer constructive, personalized feedback to help them improve.
Build connections with the Deaf community through activities and events.
Stay up to date with the latest ASL teaching practices and participate in ongoing professional development.

Requirements:
Education:

A Bachelor's degree in ASL, Deaf Studies, Education, or a related field is preferred.
Certification in ASL instruction (e.g., ASLTA certification) is a plus.

Experience:

Previous experience teaching ASL in classroom, online, or community settings is preferred.
Experience working with a diverse range of learners, including children, adults, and individuals with special needs.

Skills:

Fluency in American Sign Language.
Deep understanding of Deaf culture and history.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and classroom management abilities.
Familiarity with digital tools for remote instruction (if applicable).
