Mechanical Assembler

2nd Shift ($18/hr) | Westmont, IL

Overview

We’re looking for a Mechanical Assembler to join our team on the 2nd shift (2PM-10:30PM)! In this role, you’ll help build and assemble parts by winding coils, soldering, and making sure everything fits and works properly. You’ll use standard tools and methods to put together mechanical, electrical, or electronic components. You’ll also help keep materials and tools organized so the work keeps moving smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Wind coils of various sizes with proper number of turns and tension.
• Perform assembly operations on mechanical, electrical, or electronic parts.
• Ensure proper fitting, adjustment, and alignment of parts.
• Check and arrange for availability of materials, tools, and fixtures.
• Maintain work flow and enforce one-piece flow/balance of work flow.

Essential Skills

• Experience in assembly.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to use a tape measure.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours.
• Moderate dexterity for coil finishing.
• Ability to navigate various departments of the organization's premises.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
