Quality Control Technician
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform quality control testing on raw materials and foam batches.
- Maintain retains and electronic records for all QC samples.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and documentation procedures.
- Lab Operations
- Maintain lab cleanliness, organization, and equipment readiness.
- Monitor and manage inventory of chemicals, supplies, and tools.
- Calibrate and maintain lab instruments as needed.
- Safety & Documentation
- Participate in writing and reviewing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for lab tasks, equipment, and protocols.
- Promote a safety-first mindset and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
- Identify and report safety concerns and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Research Support
- Prepare and stage experimental setups for foam spray testing.
- Assist researchers with material handling and equipment configuration.
- Collaborate with scientists to ensure smooth execution of R&D experiments.
Skills:
- Experience in laboratory quality control or materials testing, preferred but will train.
- Familiarity with lab safety protocols and documentation practices.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with research teams.
- Proficiency in maintaining electronic records and using lab management systems.
Education/Experience:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required; B.S. in Engineering or the physical sciences (Chemistry, physics, etc.) is preferred.
