We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Access Control Technician to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our construction sites. As an Access Control Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance of our advanced access control systems. This includes working with key cards, biometric systems, network security, and low voltage wiring. If you are a problem-solver with a keen eye for detail and a passion for electronics and security, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities:
1. Install, program, and maintain access control systems, including key cards and biometric systems.
2. Perform low voltage wiring and ensure all systems are correctly connected and functioning.
3. Troubleshoot and repair any issues or malfunctions with the access control systems.
4. Monitor and maintain network security to ensure the safety and integrity of our systems.
5. Read and comprehend blueprints to understand the layout and plan installations accordingly.
6. Regularly inspect hardware and software components to ensure they are in good working order.
7. Provide technical support and guidance to team members and other staff.
8. Keep abreast of advancements in access control technology and suggest improvements or upgrades when necessary.
9. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations at all times.
10. Document and report on completed installations and any issues encountered. Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Access Control Technician or in a similar role.
2. Proven experience with programming, installations, wiring, and troubleshooting.
3. Extensive knowledge of low voltage, network security, key cards, biometric systems, and electronics.
4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
5. Proficient in the use of hardware and software related to access control systems.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. A strong understanding of safety protocols in the construction industry.
9. Willingness to stay updated on new technologies and advancements in the field.
10. Relevant professional certification is a plus.
