A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Trusts, Estates & Wealth Transfer Associate Attorney to join its Chicago office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in advising high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners, and fiduciaries on sophisticated estate planning, wealth transfer, and tax matters. This role also presents a unique opportunity to join and help build a rapidly growing Chicago office.

• 3+ years of trusts & estates, estate planning, wealth transfer, or related tax experience

• Experience advising high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners, and fiduciaries on estate planning and wealth preservation strategies

• Experience drafting and implementing wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, gifting strategies, and other estate planning documents

• Experience with gift, estate, generation-skipping transfer, and income tax planning matters

• Experience with trust and estate administration, probate proceedings, and fiduciary counseling is preferred

• Experience advising clients regarding business succession planning, charitable planning, and wealth transfer strategies is a plus

• Strong drafting, analytical, and client counseling skills

• Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships

• Excellent academic credentials

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

• Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted
