Postdoctoral Scholar – Chemical Biology & Drug Delivery.

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar with strong training in chemical biology to join our interdisciplinary research program at the interface of drug delivery, biomaterials, and cancer biology. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing next-generation therapeutic platforms, including lipid nanoparticles, liposomes, and other engineered delivery systems for oncology and regenerative medicine applications.

Research Environment: Our lab integrates chemical biology, biomaterials engineering, and translational cancer research, with close collaborations across medicine, engineering, and industry partners. The position offers strong opportunities for high-impact publications, grant writing, and translational/commercial development.

Key Responsibilities

Design, synthesize, and characterize drug delivery systems (e.g., liposomes, LNPs, polymeric or hybrid nanoparticles)

Develop and optimize formulation strategies for small molecules, nucleic acids (RNA/DNA), or biologics

Perform physicochemical characterization (size, charge, stability, loading/release kinetics)

Evaluate therapeutic efficacy and mechanism of action in cell-based assays and relevant disease models

Collaborate closely with biologists and clinicians on cancer and immunology-related projects

Contribute to manuscript preparation, grant applications, and intellectual property development

Mentor graduate students and trainees as appropriate

Required Qualifications:

PhD in Chemical Biology, Chemistry, Bioengineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Materials Science, or a related field

Hands-on experience with nanoparticle, liposome, or LNP formulation

Strong background in chemical or biochemical assay development

Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills
