Automotive Quality Management Systems Manager (TS 16949/ISO 9001)

A day in the life

You start your morning reviewing fresh quality dashboards, spotting trends before they become issues. By mid-morning, you’re guiding an internal audit—probing processes, validating evidence, and aligning actions across teams. After hosting a focused management review, you head to the floor to verify job instructions are followed and gaging/calibration practices meet requirements. Your afternoon is for closing corrective actions, refreshing QMS/EMS documentation, and presenting crisp quality data that drives decisions. Before you leave, you refine job instructions and sync with operations to keep our quality system humming.

What you’ll lead

• Plan and execute internal audits on schedule, and ensure findings are resolved effectively and on time.
• Facilitate management review meetings with clear, actionable inputs and outputs.
• Maintain full compliance of the Quality and Environmental Management Systems (QMS/EMS).
• Own the corrective action system—document control, implementation tracking, and verification of effectiveness.
• Control, update, and improve all QMS/EMS documentation and procedures.
• Enhance and manage the quality metrics/tracking system for visibility and decision support.
• Deliver accurate, current quality data to leadership and stakeholders.
• Author and revise job instructions for consistency and repeatability.
• Partner with quality and operations to sustain and improve system effectiveness.
• Conduct floor audits for adherence to job instructions and process controls.
• Confirm alignment of gaging and calibration activities with applicable quality requirements.

What you bring

• Advanced use of MS Excel (formulas, sorting) and solid MS Word document editing.
• Expert knowledge of TS 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001.
• Background as a Quality Manager or Quality Engineer in manufacturing.
• Automotive industry experience.
• Proficiency with foundational math and strong written/verbal communication.
