Job Summary

Veterans Alliance is hiring experienced AOG Mechanics for a direct opportunity based in Chicago, Illinois, supporting Boeing transport category aircraft. This is a high-impact role for skilled A&P mechanics with extensive heavy maintenance and troubleshooting experience. Candidates must be prepared to travel frequently for AOG recovery and special projects.

7+ years of transport category aircraft maintenance – REQUIRED
Boeing 737, 747, 777 experience strongly preferred
RII authorization & unrestricted engine run qualifications – REQUIRED

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on Boeing 737, 747-400, 747-800, and 777 aircraft in AOG situations
• Execute unrestricted engine runs on 737, 747, and 777 platforms
• Support AOG recovery operations and special projects, requiring frequent travel
• Apply formal training knowledge on advanced systems and avionics
• Ensure all work is performed to FAA, OEM, and company standards
• Collaborate with flight operations and engineering teams to minimize aircraft downtime
• Document all maintenance actions accurately and thoroughly

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7+ years of transport category aircraft maintenance – REQUIRED
• Boeing 737, 747, and 777 experience strongly preferred
• General Familiarization (GenFam) on 747-400 and 747-800 – REQUIRED
• RII authorization – REQUIRED
• Unrestricted engine run qualifications on 737, 747, and 777 – REQUIRED
• Formal training on advanced systems and avionics – REQUIRED
• Valid passport and ability to travel internationally for AOG recovery – REQUIRED
• FAA A&P license required
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass background/drug screening
