Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Springfield, IL 62781 (Central Illinois healthcare jobs)
• Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital – Level I Trauma Center
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Travel RN contract)
• Start Date: September 22, 2025
• End Date: December 22, 2025
• Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (06:30 – 19:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: 2-3 weekends per contract
• On-Call: Required as needed
• Floating: May float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals
• Charting System: Cerner
• Scrub Color: Provided
• Parking: Free with permit
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2430 - $2490

Cath Lab RN Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cath Lab RN experience (Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab required)
• ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA or Red Cross)
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic health records
• Ability to interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
• Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• Skilled in circulating procedures, adult diagnostic catheterizations, left and right heart catheterizations, and pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring
• Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Ability to complete compliance requirements and orientation modules promptly

Cath Lab RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a 5-room Cardiac Catheterization Lab (average daily census: 25)
• Circulate and assist with interventional cardiac procedures
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation for cardiac patients
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including rapid response teams
• Float to other hospital units or affiliate hospitals as needed
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Cerner
• Participate in orientation and ongoing education modules
• Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and flu vaccine requirements
