About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized early-career professional with a background in consulting and a passion for both operational excellence and client-facing delivery. This hybrid position combines data engineering and analysis consulting responsibilities with internal operations and business development support.

You will play a vital dual role in supporting the delivery of exceptional client outcomes while also ensuring smooth operational efficiency. This position is located in Oakbrook, IL in a hybrid working model (Onsite 4 of 5 days per week in Oakbrook, IL or other local client sites).

Your future duties and responsibilities
Client-Facing Responsibilities – Business Systems & Data Analyst Consultant
• Serve as a day-to-day technical data teammate on client engagements, with a focus on analysis and delivering scalable data engineering solutions.
• Develop and maintain robust data pipelines using Python and Databricks, ensuring alignment with client data architecture and performance needs.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure while developing and managing interactive Power BI dashboards for data visualization and business insights
• Support technical discussions and working sessions with client stakeholders to gather requirements, present solutions, and manage expectations.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including data flow diagrams, transformation logic, and solution architectures.
• Monitor and optimize pipeline performance and resource usage in Databricks, ensuring cost efficiency and system reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data engineering tasks with broader analytics or AI/ML goals.
• Support data strategy development, cloud migration planning, and implementation roadmaps for client data platforms.
• Be onsite at client locations in Chicago or surrounding suburbs as needed (client-facing presence required).
• Lead data analysis using SQL, Excel and critical thinking skills.

Office Operations & Business Development Support
• Manage and facilitate the executive step review process for proposals and project approvals.
• Maintain documentation in multiple repositories, including shared drives, CRM systems, and intranet platforms.
• Consolidate and update monthly forecast data across 40+ active projects and clients.
• Build initial proposal budgets, pricing models, and cost estimates to support pursuit efforts.
• Draft statements of work and consulting contracts in coordination with account and delivery teams.
• Schedule and facilitate internal business development meetings, capturing actions and next steps.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Oakbrook office operations, including:
o Receiving shipments and handling deliveries.
o Supporting onsite events and meetings.
o Managing badge access and requests for new employees.
o Ensuring facilities are in order and functioning properly.

• Comfortable with onsite work—must be present in the Oakbrook office or client at least 4 days per week and willing to be onsite at client locations across Chicagoland as needed.

• Familiarity with consulting services sales lifecycle and business development processes.
• Experience supporting office operations or serving in an office manager capacity.
• Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics), and productivity platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, Excel).

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $54,400 - $89,700.
