Bandsaw Operator: Machesney Park, Illinois

Our customer in Machesney Park, Illinois, is looking for a dependable, detailoriented individual to join their team as a Bandsaw Operator to work fulltime on 1st shift. In this role, you will safely operate bandsaw equipment to cut metal or other materials to precise specifications while maintaining quality and safety standards in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities of the Bandsaw Operator:

• Operate horizontal and/or vertical bandsaw machines to cut raw materials according to work orders and specifications.
• Measure and mark materials using tape measures, calipers, or other precision tools.
• Set up machines including blade selection, speed adjustments, and material positioning.
• Monitor cutting operations to ensure accuracy and quality of finished parts.
• Perform routine maintenance such as blade changes, cleaning, and basic lubrication.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet required tolerances and quality standards.
• Move materials safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, or cranes if certified.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Bandsaw Operator Requirements and Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating bandsaws or similar cutting equipment preferred.
• Ability to read measurements and follow work instructions.
• Ability to lift and handle materials as required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Pay for Bandsaw Operator: $18.00–$20.00/hour.
