Midwest Transit Equipment seeks qualified Part-Time Title Clerk for our Kankakee, IL location. This Part-Time position will work approx 20 hours in the slower winter months but work 40+ hours during our busy summer season (May - September).

Description: The Title Clerk works with our Delivery Team to ensure all paperwork is accurate and submitted to the state for all Bus Deliveries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists and takes direction from the License and Title Agent
• Accurately process incoming titles daily from dealerships, match the consignor checks daily to the title and invoice; open and accurately record incoming titles daily according to established procedures
• Answer customer questions or concerns in a professional, customer- focused manner
• Troubleshooting and problem resolution specific to titles; odometer discrepancies, power of attorney, etc
• Maintains a professional, calm manner with difficult or upset customers; maintains a high level of confidentiality
• Stays up to date on all DMV laws and regulations as they relate to vehicle titles and interpret titling regulations
• Ensure information regarding title work is communicated to others as needed
• Organize and maintain files
• Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Must be self-motivated
• Ability to work independently
