Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver in Joliet, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, primarily through driving, to help to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment for customers and staff. You will maintain a visible presence, provide friendly assistance, and offer exceptional customer service while responding to various situations as needed. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the retail location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the store and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas to assist with loss prevention and help to deter theft or other security-related concerns.
- Communicate with store personnel and customers to address inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
- Document and report observations or incidents in accordance with Allied Universal's protocols.
- Remain visible and approachable to help to deter disruptive behavior and promote a positive environment within the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Primarily driving post experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
