Job Title: Manufacturing Tooling Technician Pay Rate: $32.00-36.00/hour Location: Rockford, IL 61016 (Onsite 100%) Area Code: 815, 779 Shift: 1st Hire Type: Direct, full time, full benefits #manufacturingengineering #aerospacejobs #cad Job Summary: We're looking for a Manufacturing Tooling Technician to support day-to-day tooling needs on the assembly floor. This role involves hands-on problem-solving, updating and creating tooling documentation, and working closely with suppliers and manufacturing engineers. You'll help ensure production stays on track by managing tooling requests, generating models and drawings, and driving procurement tasks forward. What You'll Do:

• Support the assembly floor with tooling and fixture needs
• Redesign tools and create new models/drawings when documentation is missing
• Send tooling drawings to machine shops for quotes and follow up as needed
• Review, negotiate, and submit quotes for tooling
• Request and track POs, follow up on status and delivery dates, and push for earlier ship dates when needed
• Make quick, informed decisions to resolve production issues

What You Bring:

• Strong CAD skills (NX ideally) - able to model tooling in detail and produce clear drawings
• Understanding of tooling and fixturing in a manufacturing environment
• Aerospace industry experience
• Great organizational habits - able to manage shared files and folders for cross-team access
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and navigating computer systems
• Strong communication skills and responsiveness across teams
• Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is required

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):

• Experience with ordering materials, tooling, and fixtures
• Familiarity with working directly with suppliers or machine shops
