Lead Developer

Lead Developer 128637 Zurich North America is currently hiring a Lead Developer to work out of our North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, IL. Responsibilities: + Lead the design and architecture of Pega applications, ensuring they meet business requirements and align with enterprise architecture standards. + Create and maintain detailed design documents, including class structures, data models, and process flows. + Oversee the development and configuration of Pega applications, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards. + Collaborate with development teams / Pega product teams to resolve technical issues and optimize application performance. + Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions Basic Requirements: + Bachelor's Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Software Programming Applications areaOR + High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Software Programming Applications areaOR + Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Software Programming Applications areaAND + Experience assisting with design, coding benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs + Experience working with multiple phases of software systems programming applications + Experience working with multiple programming languages Preferred Qualifications: + 7+ years of experience in software development using Pega + Expertise in Pega including Pega Rules, Pega BPM, Pega UX frameworks like Cosmos and Constellation, Pega DX APIs + Proficiency in Pega application design, including class structures, data models, and process flows. + Experience with Pega integration technologies - queue based, API based, and file-based integrations. + Pega Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA) certification is required. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams. + Experience in design and implementation of large BPM programs using Pega + Knowledge in Commercial Insurance domain and hands on experience in Commercial insurance system of records Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience.
