• Starting Rate: $23.00 - $25.00/Hour.

Since 1962, Maren Balers and Shredders has manufactured the world’s best balers and shredders. Our balers handle high volumes of material with low labor inputs creating high quality and quantity recycled materials.

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Panel Builder to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical control panels according to engineering schematics and layout drawings. This position requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of electrical systems, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
• Assemble components such as circuit breakers, relays, PLCs, and terminal blocks into control panels.
• Perform point-to-point wiring and ensure proper wire routing, labeling, and terminations.
• Test completed panels for continuity, functionality, and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot and correct wiring errors or component issues as needed.
• Collaborate with engineers, quality control, and production teams to meet project deadlines.
• Document assembly and testing results as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in electrical or electronics preferred.
• 2+ years experience in electrical panel building or similar role.
• Ability to perform work using electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with electrical assembly and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of motor controls, PLC's, HMI's and VFDs.
• Experience with three phase power. (208, 240, 480, 600VAC)
• Familiar with electrical components (Circuit breakers, control relays, motor starters, etc.)
• Possess good communication skills & an ability to adapt to changing situations.
• Familiarity with UL standards, NEC codes, and industrial electrical components.
• Previous experience working on control panels.
• Ability to use hand tools, crimpers, wire strippers, multimeters, and other relevant equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

• Depending on job classification, may require basic math and/or tape measure reading.
• Depending on job classification, may require ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
