Golf Cart / Range / Ski Attendant - Part-Time

GENERAL PURPOSE

This position is responsible for the cleanliness of the golf operations including carts, driving range, ball machine, rented golf clubs, pro shop, and basement during the golf season. This position is also responsible for working in the cross country ski shop during the winter season.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Minimum of 16 years of age with good knowledge of the game of golf. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Keep golf carts neat, clean, and parked.
2. Keep range area neat and clean and retrieve used balls.
3. Keep ball machine full and take tokens to the pro shop as needed.
4. Clean grounds around pro shop, golf cart staging area, driving range, and building.
5. Keep pull carts neat, clean, and in order.
6. Clean rental golf clubs.
7. Clean pro shop and basement area.
8. Keep the cross country ski room neat and organized.
9. Assist cross country skiers with equipment during ski season.
10. Provide a high quality of customer service in a professional manner to the internal customer that will facilitate team building and exceptional customer service to the external customer.
11. Follow the Wheaton Park District and Arrowhead policies, procedures, and guidelines.
12. Proactively support the V.A.L.U.E.S. (integrity, fun, commitment, adaptability and growth, kindness, and service) on a daily basis.
13. Maintain good safety awareness and follow all safety guidelines and procedures.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, ETC.

None required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position will work long hours and must be able to sit for long periods of time while driving a golf cart. This position must be able to continuously move around such as bend, stoop, twist, kneel, crouch, or squat and move items such as jugs of ice, etc. weighing up to 25 lbs. Must be able to drive a golf cart safely on rough ground and continually be alert for golf balls in the air.

ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

Must be able to: continuously be exposed to all weather, insects, biting bugs, chemicals, pesticides and move over slippery surfaces during the golf season and exposure to cold weather during the ski season

HOURS

Average of 20 hours per week.

SALARY

Looking to hire at $15.00 per hour

SALARY RANGE

Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum

$15.00 - $18.75 - $22.50
