General Description: Under the direction of the Senior Director Human Resources and Assistant Director of Human Resources, the Senior Human Resources Generalist (SHRG) will be an integral part of the senior human resources team. The SHRG will be responsible for or assist with a multitude of projects, including on-boarding, performance management, classification, policy review, HR/EEO investigations and other duties as assigned. The goal is to ensure the HR department's operations run smoothly and effectively, to deliver maximum value to the organization as a whole.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ability to review and interpret current policies and procedures, as well as make suggestions to improve policies and procedures and create new policies to that provide directions, limits, principles and guidance on relevant societal trends and issues
  • Acting as an impartial investigator, conduct confidential investigations for both HR policy and EEO complaints. Ensure all investigation activities and recommendations are consistent.
  • Prepare internal employee communications regarding compensation, benefits, or company policies
  • Review and update HR and employee related forms to ensure forms are current and compliant, and all company related entities are using current and consistent forms
  • Ensure PMP process is proactive and revitalized annually
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining Company Policy Handbook
  • Lead all compensation and classification research, analysis and determination
  • Assist with projects and assignments as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years in a Human Resources Generalist role, or equivalent
  • Understanding of performance management software, performance management metrics and project management
  • High level of knowledge of all MicroSoft applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills

  • Accomplished researcher
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills necessary to communicate and work effectively with upper-level management and executive team members

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years in a Human Resources Generalist role, or equivalent
  • Work in the public sector
  • Work with executive level staff

Working Environment : Low noise, working with others, hybrid work possible, onsite

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary work. Sedentary work involves lifting no more than 10 pounds at a time and occasionally lifting or carrying articles like docket files, ledgers, and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required occasionally, and other sedentary criteria are met.
