Shipping Supervisor
POSITION SUMMARY
The Shipping Supervisor oversees daily outbound logistics to ensure all orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with organizational goals. This role manages shipping operations, team performance, and compliance with established standards while driving process improvements and maintaining strong communication across departments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead day-to-day shipping operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to performance targets.
Coordinate all outbound shipments â both domestic and international â including parcel, freight, and special deliveries.
Ensure international shipments meet regulatory and documentation requirements, including customs and export compliance.
Verify the precision of labeling, packaging, routing, and carrier assignments.
Train, coach, and mentor team members to foster accountability, engagement, and professional growth.
Monitor performance metrics such as accuracy, delivery times, and cost efficiency; identify and act on improvement opportunities.
Allocate labor and adjust daily priorities to accommodate shifting production volumes and seasonal fluctuations.
Review and approve team schedules, attendance records, and other administrative documentation.
Address performance or conduct issues promptly and fairly.
Uphold company safety standards, ensuring a secure and organized work environment.
Partner with cross-functional teams (such as production, quality, and inventory control) to maintain an efficient workflow.
Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing accuracy, efficiency, and overall service quality.
QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated experience managing team performance and achieving operational KPIs.
Strong understanding of domestic and international shipping practices, including documentation and regulatory compliance.
Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments and levels of the organization.
3â5 years of supervisory experience in a logistics, warehouse, or operations setting preferred.
Associate or bachelorâs degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related discipline preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Primarily based on the operations floor within a fast-paced, hands-on logistics environment.
Regular standing, walking, and physical activity required throughout the shift.
Position may require extended hours during peak periods to meet shipping demands.
Work environment includes both office and climate-controlled warehouse areas.
Emphasis on meeting strict accuracy and delivery timelines.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, stretching, and standing for extended durations.
Frequent handling and movement of packages and containers of various sizes.
