Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Night Shift)
Pay: $35.00-40.00 an hour
Location: Romeoville, IL

Maintenance Technician supports the safe and efficient operation of the facility and manufacturing equipment. This role focuses on maintaining, repairing, and improving plant machinery, machine processes, and related tooling while working closely with the Site Manager and operations team.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, upgrade, and install manufacturing equipment and facility systems

• Schedule and prioritize repairs and maintenance to support continuous production

• Lead and coordinate technician work assignments and downtime reporting

• Ensure compliance with all safety policies, OSHA standards, and plant procedures

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems

• Respond to emergency maintenance issues and recommend solutions

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports

• Assist with training technicians on equipment setup, changeovers, and best practices

• Assist with capital projects, vendor coordination, and sourcing tools and supplies

• Travel to other locations as needed to support training or maintenance projects

Qualifications

• Technical or vocational degree/certification with 10+ years manufacturing experience , or equivalent combination

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

• Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled machinery

• Working knowledge of OSHA and NFPA 70E standards

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required
