On-Call Backup Attendant — Flexible, Guaranteed Monthly Pay

Dream Care Rides is hiring two On-Call Backup Attendants to support our Cicero lift assist crew. This is the rare on-call job that actually pays you to be on call: a guaranteed $200 every month just for keeping yourself available, plus $150 for each day you’re actually called in.

It’s a great fit if you already have flexible time — a part-time job, school, retirement, or gig work — and you want dependable extra income without a full schedule.

Experience preferred — but we’ll train the right person. If you’ve done caregiving, transport, or hands-on work with people, great. If not but you’re dependable, strong enough to help lift, kind to older folks, and have a clean driving record — we provide paid training and your CPR certification.

WHAT YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE

Most weeks, you simply stay reachable during weekday hours and confirm your availability each Sunday. When the regular crew needs a hand — someone’s out sick or on vacation — we call you, and you head to the Cicero base to fill in for the day, doing the same friendly, non-emergency lift assist work as the main crew.

Some months you might not be called at all — and you still get your $200. Other months you might pick up several days. Either way, you’re paid.

WHAT YOU GET

✓ $200 every month, guaranteed. Paid whether or not you’re called in.

✓ $150 for each day you’re deployed. Same day rate as the full-time crew.

✓ Paid training + CPR certification. Same training as the regular crew.

✓ Workers’ compensation coverage when deployed. Covered on the days you work.

✓ Total flexibility. Keep your other job, studies, or schedule.

✓ A foot in the door. First in line for full crew openings.

WHAT YOU BRING

✓ A valid Illinois driver’s license and clean driving record (you’ll drive when deployed).

✓ Your own smartphone — used for our dispatch app and to reach you.

✓ You’re at least 21.

✓ You answer your phone and respond promptly during weekday hours.

✓ The physical ability to lift and carry 150+ lbs as part of a two-person team, including on stairs.

✓ You can pass a background check and drug screen (both required).

✓ You can reach the Cicero base within about 90 minutes when called.

NICE TO HAVE (BUT NOT REQUIRED)

• Any caregiving, driving, or medical transport background (preferred).
• You live within about 30 minutes of Cicero.
• Spanish and English.
