The Role

The Restaurant Manager will lead Doma’s day-to-day operations , managing both FOH and BOH teams while maintaining strong operational, hospitality, and financial standards.

Leadership & Team

• Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop FOH and BOH team members
• Lead by example and maintain a strong management presence during service
• Set clear expectations and hold the team accountable for performance, attendance, professionalism, and company standards
• Build a positive, professional, and high-performing team culture
• Maintain strong communication between the team, management, and ownership

Operations & Financial Management

• Oversee restaurant operations including staffing, scheduling, inventory, purchasing, vendor relationships, and facility maintenance
• Maintain high standards for food quality, hospitality, cleanliness, food safety, and overall execution
• Manage labor, payroll, food costs, COGS, waste, and operating expenses
• Review sales and P&L performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability
• Resolve operational and guest concerns while supporting catering, events, promotions, and other opportunities to grow the business

Who We're Looking For

• 3+ years of restaurant management experience, including leadership of FOH and BOH teams
• Strong experience with staffing, scheduling, training, employee development, and labor management
• Experience with inventory, purchasing, vendors, food cost, and cost control
• Strong understanding of restaurant financials, including sales, labor, COGS, budgets, and P&L statements
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead effectively in a high-volume environment; Toast experience is a plus

Certifications

City of Chicago Certified Food Service Manager, Illinois Food Handler, Allergen Awareness, and BASSET certifications as required, or the ability to obtain required certifications.
