MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Hello NOW HIRING – DIRECT HIRE – IMMEDIATE START Maintenance Technician | Injection Molding Equipment & Production Support (Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Injection molding production equipment and plant systems in a plastics manufacturing environment.) Role Summary: Randstad USA is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician for a plastics manufacturing facility in Elgin, IL. This direct-hire position supports production by maintaining Injection-molding equipment, troubleshooting breakdowns, and performing preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime. Mechanical and Electrical experience required. Responsibilities

• Insure the upkeep of the injection molding facility.
• Maintain preventive maintenance programs on all molding and support equipment.
• Keep and update accurate maintenance records on all equipment and facility.
• Other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Maintenance.
• Must be able to interact and communicate with all departments and machine manufactures services technicians.
• Ensure a smooth running, well maintained facility.
• Minimize downtime due to machine or equipment failure.
• Provides clear and accurate records of maintenance activities performed.
• Mechanical and Electrical experience required
• 2nd shift, 2pm 11:30 p.m., Monday- Friday

Requirements:

• High School education or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in hydraulics, electronics, and pneumatics.
• Must posses a basic understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic blueprints.
• Must understand all support equipment associated with injection molding. (Thermolators, Spru Pickers, robots, Grinders, etc.)
• Lift up to 30 lbs.
• Must have own basic tools

• Provides clear and accurate records of maintenance activities performed.
• Communicates problems/issues in the manufacturing facility to the Director of Maintenance.
• Any and all duties as assigned.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• manual lifting up to 30lbs
• working up to 4 hrs of overtime per week
