We are seeking a skilled and compassionate School Nurse to join an elementary campus for the remainder of the school year. This full-time, on-site opportunity offers a stable schedule, collaborative environment, and the chance to be a vital part of a student-centered school community.

As the Elementary School Nurse, you will serve as a trusted health professional for students in grades K–5, providing comprehensive nursing services that support academic readiness and daily wellness. You will manage health-related accommodations for students with IEPs and 504 Plans, respond to medical needs throughout the school day, and partner closely with educators, administrators, and families to promote a safe and supportive learning environment.

About the Role:

• Promote a safe, healthy, and supportive school environment.
  
• Administer medications and manage student health conditions.
  
• Conduct or assist with health screenings (vision, hearing, etc.).
  
• Maintain accurate, compliant health records and documentation.
  
• Respond to student illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies.
  
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and support staff.
  
• Provide direct nursing care and health support to students during the school day.
  
• Implement and monitor health plans, IEP health services, and 504 accommodations.
  

Requirements

• Possess a current Illinois State RN license.
  
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field.
  
• Be prepared to start immediately, making a difference right away!
  
• This position requires on-site work; candidates must be willing to work on-site throughout the assignment.
