Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Naperville, IL. You will design and maintain robust automation frameworks while developing and executing automated test suites across web and API applications.

Rate Range: $41/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineer Job Responsibilities Include

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Selenium, BDD, and data‑driven approaches.
• Build and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing across web and API applications.
• Perform API testing using tools like Postman or SOAP UI and validate backend data through SQL queries.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar build tools.
• Analyze test results, document defects, and collaborate closely with developers for timely resolution and root‑cause analysis.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and maintain test plans, automation metrics, and cross‑browser/cross‑platform test coverage.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 6–8 years of hands‑on experience in QA automation and testing frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in Selenium WebDriver, BDD frameworks (TestNG/Cucumber), and at least one programming language (Java, Python, or JavaScript).
• Proven experience in API testing, SQL-based backend validation, and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Pay Details: $41.00 to $56.00 per hour
