Overview Under the direction of the Director, Product Marketing, the Associate Product Manager is responsible for supporting the execution of all product-related planning and marketing activities as outlined below from product concept, through development, launch and sales to the planned end of life of assigned Products. Under the direction of the Director, Product Marketing, the Associate Product Manager, specifically for Desktop and entry-level Projector, is responsible for both product planning and product marketing. They are responsible for managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, to deliver industry leading products. They will work closely with sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Associate Product Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the company's overall strategy and goals. The Associate Product Manager will work with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. They will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for their product offering, working with the sales channel and key customers. The successful candidate must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. Responsibilities- Analyze, segment and visualize commercial display market data quarterly sales quantities, revenue and market share utilizing 3 rd party market research pivot table data.
- Track & visualize competitive product market pricing.
- Develop and maintain competitive product specification & feature matrix and provide on-going analysis.
- Maintain database of feature and function requests from Sharp staff, dealers and customers.
- Create, implement and summarize online surveys determining market requirements for future products.
- Support the development and implementation of activities related to pricing, programs, option ratios, general marketing support as required by the product segment.
- Support sales and hotline team to help resolve pre and post-sale product and connectivity issues, working closely with factory planning.
- Assist with major account support needs (e.g. product tests, product delivery coordination etc.).
- Assist the product/sales Training and Support departments with required component development.
- Assist Sharp Japan in the development of detailed product specifications for Products.
- Provide launch support for new product Introductions as assigned.
- Assist in the preparation/presentation of special major account presentations.
- Work in a team with other department Product Managers and Sr. Product Managers under the direction of the Vice President Product & Solutions Marketing on special projects, R&D and to develop coordinated full line strategy proposals and presentations.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering or related business experience.
- Two to three years' experience in Commercial or Prosumer AV hardware, and/or product management.
- Strong knowledge of one of the following areas: Commercial grade display products and/or Commercial AV hardware, software and services. CTS certified is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Suite.
- Proficiency with Project Management software is desirable.
- Experience with market trends and analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be organized and detail oriented with excellent time management skills.
- Must be self-motivated multi-tasker with an analytical mind, technical aptitude, and the ability to be collaborative on a team.
