$235,000 – $420,000+

A leading international law firm is seeking a Mergers & Acquisitions Associate Attorney to join its Chicago office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing public and private companies, private equity sponsors, investors, and entrepreneurs in sophisticated domestic and cross-border M&A transactions.

• 3–6 years of mergers & acquisitions or corporate transactional experience

• Experience representing public companies, private companies, private equity sponsors, and strategic investors in sophisticated M&A transactions

• Experience handling acquisitions, dispositions, mergers, joint ventures, and other strategic corporate transactions

• Experience drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, merger agreements, disclosure schedules, ancillary agreements, and related transaction documents

• Experience managing transaction workstreams, conducting due diligence, and coordinating with clients and outside advisors

• Experience advising clients on corporate governance and general corporate matters is preferred

• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills

• Ability to work directly with clients and assume significant responsibility

• Excellent academic credentials

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

• Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted
