Cath Lab Tech - Travel Job

Assist physicians and Cath Lab personnel in conducting diagnostic and interventional procedures and operate advanced imaging equipment to capture crucial cardiovascular data.

What You'll Need:

• ARRT certified Radiologic Technologist.
• RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) from CCI preferred.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a Cath Lab or combined Cath/IR environment. IR experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required. ARRT-R and ACLS preferred for invasive cardiac and IR tech roles.
• State licensure as required by Illinois.
• Experience with EPIC and MERGE charting systems preferred.
• Experience with invasive cardiology procedures including structural heart, TAVR, AAA repairs, and ablations preferred for RN roles.

Minimum Requirements:

• ARRT certification as a Radiologic Technologist.
• At least 2 years of Cath Lab experience. IR experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications. ARRT-R required or preferred depending on role.
• Experience with invasive and interventional cardiology procedures and ability to scrub, record, and circulate procedures as applicable to role.
• Familiarity with EPIC and MERGE electronic charting systems.
• Ability to float between Cath Lab and IR per skillset.
• Willingness to complete 1–3 days of orientation on unit.
• Ability to work within a team of 3 people in the procedure room (2 nurses, 1 tech) and follow procedural scrub protocols.
• Preferred: experience with moderate sedation (Fentanyl and Versed) and ability to obtain onsite sign-off.

Assignment Details

• Facility Type: Hospital.
• Shift Name: Days.
• Schedule: 5x8 day shifts per week.
• Standard hours per week: 40.
• Duration: 13 week travel assignment.
• Unit: Combined Cath Lab/IR with dedicated Cath and IR staff; 4 procedure rooms.
• Orientation: 1–3 days based on comfort level.
• Floating: Candidate may float between Cath Lab and IR based on skillset.
• Call and weekend rotation expectations: weekend call coverage and holiday call as needed; nurse call approximately 1 week every 3 weeks; specific call schedule to be discussed with manager.
• Procedural scrubs provided. Free onsite parking.
