Job Description
The Infrastructure Data Analytics function is an innovative program designed to promote data-driven decision-making and address advanced technology challenges for AbbVie employees. As an IT Business Data Analyst, you'll have the unique opportunity to explore, analyze, and visualize complex data from diverse sources to identify issues and trends that drive transformation across our global technical landscape. You'll work closely with system owners and business stakeholders to identify areas for improvement, offer fresh perspectives, and generate new business insights. Responsibilities
- Independently design and generate data reports, identify patterns and trends, conduct cost analysis, and address business questions by integrating, visualizing, and analyzing data
- Discover and investigate root cause issues that highlight key business opportunities
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements
- Demonstrate proficiency in a variety of technologies for storing, transferring, integrating, visualizing, and statistically analyzing large and complex data sets
- Demonstrate proficiency in combining data from multiple sources to achieve desired results
- Effectively organize and present data insights, tailoring the format to match the audience
- Produce reports (scheduled and adhoc) as required, responding with accurate and complete data and analysis
- Assist data/report consumers to navigate and understand the results
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement
- Partner closely with IT Delivery teams to develop and share data-driven communications, standards, and deliverables
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field with 5 years’ experience, or Master’s Degree with 4 years’ experience.
- Technology experience with at least 2 years in Data Science or equivalent Data Analysis/reporting role
- Ability to interpret data and identify trends and turn data into actionable insights
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business teams
- Demonstrated ability to learn, understand, and master new methods and technologies
- Must be deliverables-focused and detail-oriented
- Must exhibit exceptional teamwork skills
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Experience with big data concepts and analytic tools, SQL, Power BI, Python Dash, RShiny, and custom HTML and CSS frameworks or similar
- Experience in scripting languages (e.g. Python or R) or data querying languages (e.g. SQL)
Preferred:
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and/or cost accounting principles

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
