We are looking for a Machine Maintenance Mechanic to join the team at our Norridge, IL location. Please note, this is a full-time, 1st shift position (7am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday).
General Summary
Responsible for machine operation, troubleshooting and repair.

• Check casting machines daily for oil, air, water, and gas leak and repair as needed
• Check safety gas shut off valves and repair or replace as needed
• Check melting pots, goosenecks, and nozzles in all casting machines and replace
• When replacing melting pot, check furnace top plate and repair or replace as needed
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic pumps, hydraulic and air cylinders, and solenoid valves
• Check and repair casting machine clamping presses, replace worn out pins, linkages, bushings, etc., then
• assemble, adjust, and test
• Check pump motors for noise and vibration and repair as needed
• Check and replace oil and oil filters as needed
• Check and repair casting machine spray lubrication system
• Repair hydraulic accumulators as needed
• Install necessary limit switches (excluding electrical) on all new molds and adjust/repair limit switch mounting on the existing molds
• Maintain and upgrade casting machines per supervisor’s request
• Replace feeders, plungers and rings as needed
• Obtain machine failure information from operator; troubleshoot and correct issue
• Request assistance to make repairs or replacements as needed
• Adjust operating equipment with confirmation of department supervisor
• Create and close work orders

Salary: $28.00/hr.
