HirexHire (pronounced: hire by hire) is a Chicago-based recruiting and talent consultancy that integrates with companies short-term to provide long-term talent solutions. We take a seat in our client’s everyday operations to understand their people goals, gaps, and challenges. We then develop and implement the processes and technologies to execute a sustainable and scalable talent plan.

We partner with companies expecting or experiencing high growth, leading them to rapidly hire at scale or fill a critical role. We develop and execute creative strategies to carry out all aspects of the recruiting process: crafting job descriptions, building candidate pipelines, vetting candidates, conducting interviews, negotiating offers, and leading new hires to their first day on our client’s team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Lead Technical Recruiting Consultant on the HirexHire team, you can expect to own the full-cycle recruiting process so support our partners' growth, with a focus on technical Engineering, Product, QA, and IT positions in early-stage and high-growth VC and PE-backed companies, primarily in the software space. Our team is small and growing, so you can expect to wear many hats and take ownership of broader organizational initiatives to improve our operations and services.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Manage the full recruiting lifecycle for a variety of engineering, quality assurance, product management, and IT positions
  • Own the relationship and communication with hiring managers and executives within our partners to drive results
  • Source, screen, and evaluate technical talent against our partner's requirements and make recommendations accordingly
  • In collaboration with our Recruiting Coordinators and the respective hiring teams, schedule interviews, manage and lead feedback sessions, and guide hiring teams in the decision-making process
  • Provide insight on salary and compensation packages and present and negotiate offers to candidates in conjunction with hiring teams
  • Ensure a positive and transparent experience for hiring teams and candidates alike by setting and managing expectations, creating a cadence of regular, two-way communication, and driving progress with urgency and proactivity
  • Help develop and grow our technical recruiting function that includes other recruiters and coordinators
  • Track and report key recruiting activity to stakeholders, including candidate and recruiter activity, funnel data, time-to-fill, and other hiring and pipeline data
  • Act as an ambassador and representative of the HirexHire brand, as well as that of our clients

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Hands-on experience in leading full life-cycle recruiting processes for technical / IT positions, either in an in-house or agency (or both!)
  • An interest and passion for understanding and communicating complex technologies, including programming languages, theories, and methodologies
  • Confidence and experience communicating and influencing behavior at a senior leadership level
  • Proficiency with common Applicant Tracking Systems and recruiting softwares, such as Greenhouse, Workable, Ashby, and LinkedIn Recruiter, just to name a few
  • Our team is scrappy; we look for proactive problem-solvers and individuals with a bias for action
