Hello! NOW HIRING – DIRECT HIRE – IMMEDIATE START Tool & Die Maker | Deep Draw Stamping, Punch Press Setup & Die Repair (Build, repair, and maintain progressive and deep draw dies supporting high-precision stainless steel stamping operations.) Location: Wauconda, IL Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Pay: $35–$45/hour (based on experience) Role Summary: Randstad USA is hiring a skilled Tool & Die Maker for a growing deep draw stamping manufacturer in Wauconda, IL. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity within a well-established stainless steel stamping operation supporting high-end customers across multiple industries. You will be responsible for building, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing dies and tooling to ensure production runs efficiently, safely, and meets quality standards. This role plays a key part in reducing downtime and supporting on-time delivery goals. Key Responsibilities:

• Build, repair, and maintain tools, dies, fixtures, and punch press components
• Troubleshoot die issues on the shop floor to minimize downtime
• Maintain die PM system and ensure preventive maintenance is completed on schedule
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure tooling components are in stock
• Work with Tool Design Engineers to build new dies and fixtures
• Support punch press setup and stamping operations as needed
• Identify opportunities to reduce stamping defects and improve productivity
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or GED required
• Minimum 5 years completed Tool Room apprenticeship or equivalent experience
• Experience in deep draw stamping and punch press setup strongly preferred
• Proficient in GD&T and advanced shop math
• Skilled with calipers, micrometers, height gages, and pin gages
• Experience operating mills, grinders, drill presses, band saws, and lathes
• Must be able to set up stamping presses independently
• Must have own tools
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Journeyman experiance

Preferred Background:

• Deep draw stainless steel stamping
• High-precision metal fabrication environments
• Experience supporting continuous improvement in stamping operations
