Emergency Medicine Physician

At SSM Health, we are committed to delivering exceptional healthcare services, and are seeking a Critical Care Advanced Practitioner (Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to practice at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Practice at a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility!

Requirements:

• Graduate of a nationally accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) Program
• NPs must hold Acute Care certification
• ACNP or PA Must have experience post education
• Ability to obtain PA/NP licensure in Illinois
• Team player and collaborative

Opportunity:

• Nocturnist position working 7p-7a on a 7on/7off schedule (Tuesday to Tuesday) providing coverage in 16-bed CCU
• The primary focus of this position will be assisting in providing high-quality care to critical care patients including patient admissions and consults as well as seeing post-op surgical patients
• On average, two patient admissions per night
• Procedural experience in performing central and arterial lines as well as intubation highly desired; willing to train the right candidate
• On-the-job training paired with a collaborating physician for support
