As a manual Lathe Machine Operator at Fabtec Manufacturing, you will be entrusted with the operation of Lathe machines, playing a crucial role in fabricating metal parts that meet our high standards of quality. This position is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and excellence of our products through skilled machining and adherence to technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation: Set up and operate manual lathe machines to perform precision machining operations.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical specifications to determine the best approach for machining and tooling.
• Tool Selection and Setup: Select appropriate tools and configure machines for optimal performance and accuracy.
• Measurement and Inspection: Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to inspect and verify dimensions and tolerances of machined parts.
• Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure their optimal condition.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and rectify machining issues to maintain productivity and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 years of experience in operating manual lathe machines.
• Practical Job Test: Must successfully pass an on-site job test demonstrating proficiency in operating a milling machine and reading blueprints.Comprehensive understanding of machining principles and technical requirements.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting complex blueprints and technical documentation.
• Skilled in using precision measuring tools.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Spanish speaking is strongly preferred.
