Certified Electrical Technician

What You'll Do:

Dive into diagnosing and repairing malfunctioning systems. Use your skills with test equipment and hand tools to identify breakdowns and correct them efficiently. Regularly inspect and ensure that electrical systems, equipment, and components meet compliance standards.

Your role includes the careful repair or replacement of wiring and equipment using both hand and power tools. You’ll also assemble, install, and maintain electrical wiring and fixtures, armed with your trusted tools.

In addition, you’ll test electrical systems using ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to confirm compatibility and safety. Proficiency in computers, especially within a Microsoft Windows setting, is essential for managing internet-based work orders.

Proficiency Required:

• Strong troubleshooting skills with high-voltage systems up to 480 Volt 3-phase and 500 volts D-C.
• Insights into the operation of digital multi-meters and amp meters.
• Ability to read schematics and identify basic electrical symbols.
• A sound understanding of electrical theory, including basic OHMs law application.
• Initial mechanical skills concerning pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with AC/DC drives and PLC's is crucial.

Experience You'll Bring:

At least 5 years handling high-voltage systems in manufacturing setups, especially AC/DC drives and PLCs. Broad technical and mechanical knowledge, particularly in pneumatic and hydraulic systems, is indispensable.
