The Position:

We are seeking a skilled CMM Operator to run Zeiss and LK coordinate measuring machines for inspection of precision aerospace and defense components. This position supports daily inspection operations, ensuring parts from machined castings and forgings meet drawing and customer requirements. Hourly Pay Range: $25.00-$29.00 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.

Job Duties:

• Operate Zeiss and LK CMMs using existing programs (Calypso / CAMIO).
• Load, align, and fixture components accurately for measurement.
• Execute inspections and verify results per work instructions.
• Review reports, identify nonconformances, and communicate findings to the operations and quality teams.
• File nonconforming reports and transfer materials to the Material Review Board (MRB) when necessary.
• Support First Article, in-process, and final inspections.
• Perform basic probe calibrations and assist in equipment upkeep.
• Maintain clean, organized inspection and metrology areas.

  The Right Person/What we need from you:

• 2+ years of experience operating CMMs (Zeiss, LK, or equivalent).
• Working knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and AS9100 systems.
• Experience inspecting tight-tolerance machined castings or forgings.
• Familiarity with Calypso or CAMIO software (training available).
• Proficiency with hand inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, height gages, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
• Technical training or metrology coursework preferred.
