Trustaff is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Peoria, Illinois.

Job Description & Requirements

Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Cardiology

Licensure & Certifications:

• Active IL RN License
• BLS (American Heart Assoc.) required

Education:

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience
• Knowledge of nursing process, trends, technology, financial and human resources management
• Ability to assess patients, develop and implement care plans, and modify interventions as needed
• Strong communication skills and ability to provide constructive feedback
• Competence in maintaining accurate patient documentation and ensuring patient and employee safety

Assignment Type & Schedule:
Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Weekend shifts: Rotation
Holiday shifts: Rotation

Provides professional nursing care to assigned patients using the nursing process, institutional policies, and evidence-based practices. Responsibilities Include: - Perform all unit-specific responsibilities and duties within scope of practice - Implement procedures and theories related to area of practice - Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient care - Complete patient assessments and develop individualized care plans - Implement nursing interventions and patient care procedures - Modify care plans based on continuous evaluation - Ensure patient and employee safety, report/correct hazards - Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and families - Offer feedback and contribute to professional development of peers - Identify learning needs and take initiative for self-development - Fulfill departmental competency requirements
