Position Overview:
T he Local Field Operations Manager is responsible for the overall performance and execution of all Direct-to-Consumer residential homelift installations and service operations within their assigned market. Acting as the local business owner, this role leads field teams, manages contractors and logistics, oversees in-home technical assessments, and ensures every customer receives the Stiltz Gold Standard Service. Combining hands-on technical expertise with strong operational leadership, the Local Field Operations Manager drives safety, quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction while maintaining accountability for local operational results.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Installation Management
Own the end-to-end delivery of residential homelift installations, from post-sale handoff through final completion.
Ensure all projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to Stiltz quality standards.
Drive operational performance across installation execution, customer satisfaction, productivity, and cost control.
Serve as the primary escalation point for field-related operational issues and customer concerns.
In-Home Technical Assessments
Conduct detailed in-home site assessments to evaluate installation feasibility and requirements.
Identify structural considerations, site constraints, and potential project risks.
Capture accurate measurements, layouts, and technical specifications.
Prepare clear documentation, sketches, and installation requirements to support project execution.
Collaborate with structural engineers and technical partners to validate designs and ensure compliance.
Field Operations & Installation Execution
Lead and support installation teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences and high-quality workmanship.
Maintain a strong field presence and provide hands-on support when needed.
Ensure all installations meet Stiltz standards for safety, quality, and performance.
Foster a right-first-time culture focused on efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Contractor & Construction Management
Manage General Contractors, subcontractors, and trade partners involved in home modification work.
Ensure construction activities align with approved technical requirements and installation plans.
Monitor contractor performance, project timelines, quality standards, and costs.
Resolve on-site challenges quickly to minimize delays and avoid rework.
Permitting & Regulatory Compliance
Oversee local permitting activities, including application coordination, tracking, and inspection readiness.
Ensure all projects comply with applicable building codes, regulations, and safety requirements.
Partner with internal teams to maintain efficient and consistent permitting processes.
Local Operations Leadership
Own the performance and day-to-day management of the local field operation, including:
Installation productivity and output
Customer satisfaction and service delivery
Operational efficiency and cost performance
Oversee inventory management, materials planning, vehicle readiness, tools, and equipment.
Ensure all projects are fully prepared and installation-ready before deployment.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, coach, and develop installers, coordinators, and other operational team members.
Establish clear expectations around safety, quality, performance, and customer service.
Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and development planning.
Build a high-performing, accountable, and engaged team culture.
Customer Experience
Serve as the operational leader for customer-facing activities within the market.
Ensure customers receive a professional, seamless installation experience from start to finish.
Maintain proactive communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Resolve issues efficiently while preserving customer confidence and satisfaction.
Financial & Cost Management
Monitor installation costs against estimates and budgets.
Identify and mitigate risks that could impact profitability or project performance.
Optimize labor, materials, and subcontractor utilization.
Drive improvements in overall installation efficiency and cost-per-install performance.
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
Execute and uphold the Stiltz Direct-to-Consumer operating model.
Ensure compliance with established processes, policies, and quality standards.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and operational performance.
Partner with National Operations to continuously refine and enhance operating practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Strong background in construction, general contracting, or home services
Proven experience in people management and team leadership
Experience managing installation teams and subcontractors
Strong technical understanding of residential construction and structural requirements
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability
Salary:
$72,000 - $82,000 Annually
