• Location: Peoria, Illinois 61637
• Healthcare Setting: Outpatient Medical Oncology / Chemotherapy Clinic
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (September 15, 2025 – December 15, 2025)
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, variable day shift hours
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week (excluding orientation)
• No weekends, holidays, or call required
• Potential to float: Registration for central line blood draws
• Dress Code: Scrubs (variable colors)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,370–$2,430

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license (required for Illinois nursing jobs)
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• ONS certification (required for oncology nurse roles)
• OCN certification (preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of recent medical oncology experience
• Experience with EPIC/Beacon charting systems preferred
• Ability to pass a drug screen (OSF is a drug-free campus)

Oncology RN Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and coordinating chemotherapy schedules
• Tracking labs, triaging telephone calls, and managing refill requests
• Ordering labs and pathology-specific testing
• Prepping provider schedules and scheduling imaging/testing at outside facilities
• Communicating results to providers and patients
• Managing MyChart messages and patient inquiries
• Participating in outpatient unit-specific training and orientation
